Leonard Williams, a defensive end, played his last game for the Giants on Sunday.
NFL Media says that Williams was moved from the Giants to the Seahawks.
In return for the veteran, they will get a pick in the second round of the 2024 draft and a pick in the fifth round of the 2025 draft.
The Jets moved Williams to the Giants in 2019, and he played the rest of the 2020 season with the squad tag.
He signed a three-year deal with the Giants before the 2021 season. This year, his base pay is $18 million, but the deal is said to be going to be changed before the trade goes through.
In eight games this season, Williams has made 21 stops and gotten 1.5 sacks. He joins Frank Clark as new members of the Seahawks' front seven.
With their win over the Browns on Sunday, they moved into first place in the NFC West.
The Giants lost to the Jets in overtime on Sunday, dropping their record to 2-6.
